Congressman, 8th District of North Carolina Welcome to my online campaign headquarters! It has been a great honor to represent North Carolina’s Eighth Congressional District in Congress. For the past eight years, I have worked to establish a solid pro-family and pro-business record while striving to promote job growth and economic development throughout the District. In Congress, I chose to serve on three committees that provide direct benefit to the District. I currently serve on the House Armed Services (Vice-Chairman of the Terrorism Subcommittee), Agriculture (Chairman of the Livestock and Horticulture Subcommittee), and Transportation Committees, which allow me to provide assistance to our brave men and women serving at Ft. Bragg and Pope Air Force Base, ensure the prosperity of our family farmers and the entire Ag community, and look after the transportation and infrastructure needs of Eighth District communities. I believe that the prosperity of our communities depends on quality education, which is why I have worked with local school systems and community colleges to introduce new technology into the classroom and provide teachers with classroom-access to vast new resources.
