Congressman Robin Hayes
Biography


Congressman Robin Hayes is currently serving his 5th term in the United States House of Representatives from North Carolina's 8th district. The 8th district is in south central North Carolina and stretches from Charlotte to Fayetteville. The district also includes parts of Fort Bragg.

Robin is a native North Carolinian, born and raised in Concord where he still resides to this day. Robin and his wife Barbara have been married for 38 years and have two children, Winslow and Bob, and are proud to have five grandchildren. Robin earned a degree in History from Duke University and is currently the owner and operator of Mt. Pleasant Hosiery Mills.

Robin sits on three committee's that are important to North Carolina's 8th district: Armed Services, Agriculture, and Transportation and Infrastructure. He has been a tireless advocate for the family farms that are scattered across the district. He has helped to ensure that our nation's veterans have the adequate healthcare services available to them. Robin believes that strengthening our borders will not only curb the influx of illegal immigrants into this country but will also play a vital role in helping to fight the war on terror.

Robin is a past Chairman of the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus. Robin is an avid outdoorsman and active pilot with a commercial rating. Robin and Barbara are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Concord.
